ABAT – Advanced Battery Technologies

Advanced Battery (ABAT) manufactures and distributes rechargeable Polymer Lithium-Ion (PLI) batteries. The Company's products include rechargeable PLI batteries for electric automobiles, motorcycles, mine-use lamps, notebook computers and other electronic devices.

ABAT's batteries combine high-energy chemistry with state-of-the-art polymer technology to overcome many of the shortcomings associated with other types of rechargeable batteries.

ABAT has just inaugurated a huge manufacturing facility in Dongguan, China. The Company's total investment in this new facility was approximately $83.30 Million. The 50,000 square meters facility includes an R&D center of 5,000 square meters. The facility is the third battery manufacturing facility developed by ABAT in mainland China to meet the increasing demands of the Polymer Lithium-Ion (PLI) battery market.

Until very recently ABAT was trading on the NASDAQ, however, the de-listing apparently has not slowed down the company, ABAT is moving ahead with huge investments and the company has reported increased revenues in its latest quarterly (June) filings with the SEC. We think the stock is oversold and could bounce back in short to medium term, keep an eye!
